Small Business Assessment

Dear HB Chamber Members and Orange County Business Community,

We hope that this email finds both you and your family safe and healthy during this trying time. As a small business owner / entrepreneur, now more than ever, you will need to rely on your unique survival skills to identify and secure resources to help sustain your business. We are confident that you will achieve this objective and find new opportunities out of this tough time.

The HB Chamber and CIELO  are writing to ask for your help in completing a  small business assessment , regarding the impact of COVID-19 on your business.  It should take no more than 5 minutes to complete.  Our goal is to gather information to identify, and ideally, secure resources for our community of business owners. Please complete the survey by April 7th.

We appreciate your help and trust that everyone is staying safe. Please contact the HB Chamber at (714) 568-8888 or CIELO at (714) 756-2006 if you are needing assistance.

Thank you in advance for participating.

Tips to Avoid Phishing
A new phishing campaign has been spotted that pretends to be from a local hospital telling the recipient that they have been exposed to the Coronavirus and that they need to be tested. With the Coronavirus pandemic affecting all corners of the world, we continue to see phishing actors try to take advantage of the fear and anxiety it is provoking to scare people into opening malicious email attachments.

In a new low, a threat actor is pretending to be from a local hospital telling the recipient that they have been in contact with a colleague, friend, or family member who has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The email then tells the recipient to print the attached EmergencyContact.xlsm attachment and bring it with them to the nearest emergency clinic for testing.

To help my fellow Chamber members I have three recommendations:

1. Get Educated - Sign Up for Our FREE “Cyber Security Tip of the Week”
And Always Stay One Step Ahead of Hackers and Cyber-Attacks!

2. Get Trained - Take advantage of our FREE course provided by KnowBe4 that gives the whole family tips on how to help manage that Social Engineering threat while we are all working from home...It even includes information for the kiddos! Below is the URL to access the home course.

Go to https://www.aobiz.com/about-us/contact-us/ to get the access password. Please reference “KnowBe4” in the subject.

3. Get Help - If your business, or you know of a business with 10 of more employees, is struggling with setting up employees “To Work Remotely From Home” or have security concerns give Darryl Santa a call at 714-500-4850

Yours in security,
