I started writing erotica in 2016, posting my first story to Literotica in March of that year. Crazily, less than 2 months later, I talked myself into tackling a much longer project, planning to tell four years in the life of my main characters, a son, mother and his girlfriend, starting on the day his father dies. I began with the title "First Year After" and plotted a total of four years. Each year was broken further into six "chapters" for serialization to Literotica. When the longest story I had written before that was just 3 chapters, I was committing to 24.
Around the time that I finished "Second Year After" in November of that year, I decided that I was maybe doing well enough, based on Literotica feedback, to try my hand at self-publishing my erotica to Amazon, B&N, etc. Typical luck that Amazon and other retailers clamped down on incest erotica at the same time. But, I managed to find a home for it at Smashwords and needed a series name for the "Year After" books. I settled on "Our Love, After Dad Died", which captures the theme as well as I think anything could.
Writing other stories in between the volumes of the series, I finished writing "Fourth Year After" more than a year after beginning the series. Total, about 250,000 words.
It remains my longest work and something I'm proud of. With people still requesting that I continue the story, I might add to it or maybe write a prequel or two.
