Dear T-Bird Parents & Families,

We look forward to having all students on campus on September 9th. Understandably, there have been a lot of questions about the upcoming fall semester. We will try our best to keep you informed and put you at ease. We want everyone well informed and all questions answered.

  • An email was sent to students this week regarding frequently asked questions we've received from students, families and employees over the last few months. This page has a plethora of information and we strongly suggest you and your student check it out. Some subjects include fall classroom instruction, COVID questions and guidelines, housing, fall campus events, etc. Check it out here.

  • The Thunder U schedule is finalized and was sent to students this week. This is coming quickly for our incoming students. This schedule has changed a lot over the last few weeks to meet all the ever changing guidelines. There will be activities offered September 3rd - 7th as optional activities. September 8th is required for all new students to attend. The schedule is attached below. Any questions, contact Madi Maynard at the First Year Experience (FYE) office here.

  • On campus housing Move-in Day has changed from years past. This will now be done with social distancing guideline accommodations, September 3rd, 4th and 5th. Check out move in schedule and on campus housing contact information here for your student's date and time. For off campus housing move in, have your students contact their landlord for details.

  • We will host Parent & Family Info sessions at 10 AM and 1 PM every day from Thursday September 3rd thru Tuesday September 8th in the Church Auditorium in the Student Center. Because we want your first priority to be helping your student get settled in, you can choose any session that works best for you, no RSVP necessary. A printable schedule is attached below with all details.

  • We will also have a Parent & Family Open House available in the Starlight Room of the Student Center from 10 AM - 2 PM every day September 3rd thru September 8th. Please stop by with any questions, to pick up some Parent and Family swag, and to leave a postcard love note for your student (we deliver these the 3rd week of school, when student motivation starts to dip a little). It is also a great place to make friends with other parents and learn more about Parent and Family Services. A printable schedule is attached below with all details.

  • Commencement is quickly approaching August 8th, 2020. We are excited! For questions and information please visit suu.edu/graduation. If you have a graduate, don't forget to stop by the PFS question stations and grab a "Proud of my Grad" button.

We look forward to seeing you soon! Welcome to the T-Bird Family!
