The Angel Island Immigration Station opened on January 21, 1910. It was one of nineteen immigration stations operating around the United States in the early twentieth century. Over its thirty-year history, half a million people either entered or departed the country through Angel Island.

In 2010, President Barack Obama signed a proclamation declaring January 21st as National Angel Island Day . On this day we take time to remember the stories, events, and people from the Immigration Station's 110-year history.
Tonight! Don't miss our free event!
