At the Franklin Food Bank, we strive to ensure that the food needs of our community are met in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. We know that not all food is made equally. Our goal is to supply Franklin families with the healthiest food possible. How do we do that? It’s all about fresh produce!

Good thing we call New Jersey our home!

Fresh local produce is proven to be more nutrient-dense (and more delicious!) than food which has been packed and shipped from other states and countries. For many years we have been so lucky to partner with dozens of local farmers and farm organizations - such as Belle Mead Co-op, Catalpa Farms, Melillo Community Farm (more about that one later!), Suydam Farms, Von Thuns Farm...to name just a few! All of these amazing farmers and more have helped us to provide the best food possible to residents of Franklin Township.

We want to thank our farmers - every month, and especially in August, which is when we are reminded three scrumptious times a day that without farms we would not have fresh food to share with our neighbors.

Enjoy the harvest.
