Welcome to the May edition of Your City @ Work, our monthly online newsletter for the City of Dunedin. As you know, our world, our nation and our City has been in the midst of new and challenging times for everyone. There is no person's life that hasn't been affected by COVID-19 in some way.
Under the Pinellas County Safer-At-Home Order, all public beaches, pools, playgrounds and more were closed in March. In early April, non-essential business were ordered to be closed and everyone was asked to stay home when possible and adhere to social distancing guidelines set forth by the CDC. While the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to exist, Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, has announced a phased approach to reopening the state starting Monday May 4th. While these past weeks and months have been challenging, it's hopeful to see things moving in the right direction. I am proud to work for a City that has stayed positive and has supported one another during this difficult and unchartered territory.
Right now, our nation’s emphasis is on continuing to combat this virus through social distancing measures and and other restrictions. The City of Dunedin is following all state and county guidelines as we begin to reopen our amazing City. Please check our
