Dear Friends,

Please stay home as much as possible! Numerous updates are below on food distribution resources, waste management pick-up and more.

Social distancing means:

- NO playdates.

- NO get-togethers with friends.

- NO visits with relatives who do not live with you. 

- NO trips to the store other than limited trips for medicine or groceries or for essential jobs.

- DO maintain 6 feet from other people at stores and while outside.

- DO take walks or bike-rides or get exercise while staying 6 feet away from anyone you do not live with.

- DO call, email, and write letters to check-in and connect with friends and loved ones.

- DO wash your hands frequently for 20 seconds.

- DO clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces.

- DO ensure you are counted in the 2020 Census to make sure our community gets the resources and funding we need over the next decade! Reply by phone today Call between 7am and 2am any day of the week to be counted by phone.

-- DO call the COVID-19 hotline at 301-883-6627 from 8 am until 8 pm or contact your physician for questions or concerns about the virus. Remember, 911 is for emergencies only.

COVID-19 Waste Management Update: Regular trash, recycling, and yard trim collection continues as scheduled. Bulky trash pick-up has been suspended, and we ask that residents please keep these items at home until service is reinstated. #PGCCOVID19

Update! My District 3 Town Hall & Resource Fair will be rescheduled for later in April as a virtual event. Please watch this newsletter for more information.

NEW! Join the first #WhatsThe311 event on Thursday, March 26 at 10 am and 6 pm, allowing residents to "get the 311" on government resources and services! The March 26 calls will focus on #PGCCOVID19, the Census, and more.  Dial-in Number: 301-883-6600  Access Code: 991934

NEW!  Christian Life Church will have a free produce distribution every Friday at DIFFERENT locations. This Friday, March 27, the distribution will begin at 2:00 pm at Trinity Assembly of God, 7800 Good Luck Road, Lanham

SEED distributes food every Wednesday at 12:00 pm at East Pines Community Center, 5819 Eastpine Drive, Riverdale.

"Grab and go" meals are available at 36 schools Monday - Friday, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Students may pick up breakfast, lunch and snack, which may include cold cereal, a sack lunch, fruit and milk, in one visit. Parents and guardians are not required to accompany students, but adults may not pick up meals for children. Student IDs are not required.  District 3 locations are Templeton Elementary and William Wirt MIddle School. Full list is here.

El objetivo de la llamada es garantizar que todos los residentes latinos del Condado tengan la información más actualizada sobre el coronavirus.
