New JTED Campus Lands
Common Ground Award
The new JTED Innovative Learning Center @ The Bridges won a Pima Metropolitan Alliance 2019 Common Ground Award Friday, Nov. 1. Pima JTED's new campus was one of 20 finalists and 10 awardees honored. According to the MPA, the Common Ground Award recognizes community leaders, projects and events with successful collaboration for the overall benefit of the community. Pima JTED cited its partnerships with BFL Construction, Bourn Companies, WSM Architects, Wells Fargo Bank, Tucson Unified School District, Council Member Richard Fimbres, County Supervisor Ramon Valadez, The Rotary Club of Tucson, and the neighborhood associations of South Park, Las Vistas, Western Hills II, and Pueblo Gardens. The campus is being built at 3300 South Park Ave., and will open in August 2020.
Students who are interested in enrolling in programs at the new Pima JTED Innovative Learning Center @ The Bridges are encouraged to complete an
interest survey available on the
Pima JTED website. Programs being offered include:
- 3D Animation/Virtual Reality and Game Design
- Automation/Robotics - Logistics Optics and AI
- Air Transportation - FAA Drone Operator
- Business Start-Up/Entrepreneurship
- Culinary and Nutritional Arts/Restaurant Management
- Cybersecurity/Artificial Intelligence
- Engineering - Aerospace and Mining Technology
- Healthcare Foundations
- Licensed Nursing Assistant
- Medical Assistant.
