Blumenthal Performing Arts has begun a new program that gives the faith community an opportunity to attend Broadway touring musical theatre productions and then a themed social issue discussion meeting, Community Cue, based around the musical.

The Parish Life Committee sees this program as an excellent opportunity for fellowship!
We can come together for great music and story, and then discuss how our faith impacts how we experience the show.

The upcoming show, RENT will be our first fellowship musical and discussion.

Tuesday, November 9th, at 7:30 pm is the official Grace night to attend the show - we would like to invite you!

The social discussion is scheduled for a week later,
on November 16th, at St. John's Baptist Church
300 Hawthorne Lane Charlotte, NC 28204.

You can read more about the social discussion HERE.

The ticket prices will depend on how many attend in our group and how soon we order. The tickets should be $50 or less each.

In order for us to get the best price, please let us know you'd like to come by OCTOBER 7th via texting Irene Pointon, 704-517-5403.

Tales of Talent - Recently, two members of the Grace Family were willing to share their talents and our congregation has certainly been blessed by their generosity. Ryan Brown, Sr. refurbished the bench in the Cremains Garden and Julie Bagley-Elder created the barn quilt that now hangs in the southern entry to our building. In addition to the final products, we hope you will find meaning in the conversations we share today. Click HERE to read more.

Schedule Conflicts:

Just like before, if you get scheduled for a Sunday when you'll be unavailable, we just need you to make a quick phone call to swap with another volunteer. Then, let somebody at the Church Office know about the change (so we can update the schedule). It's as easy as that!

Don't see your name? Want to join the rotation?
Email the church office today!
A big thank you from WELCM to everyone who was a part of making our benefit concert on 9/17 such a success and an uplifting evening! Thank you to the campus ministry committee and Grace Council for hosting the reception, to Dr. Jeremy Mims and Prof. Craig Allen and Pr. Jesse Canniff-Kuhn for offering their musical gifts, and our students Max Hathaway, Courtney Franklin, and peer minister Grace Tristan for sharing their testimony of what makes WELCM a place that feels like good news for them. And thank you so much to those who made financial contributions to bolster campus ministry in a challenging season. Thank you for making an investment that waters the seeds we are planting for the future of campus ministry and the future of the church! We’re so grateful for your support.
Children's Choir Rehearsals

Led by Irene Pointon and supported by our Music Interns, Children's Choir is for K-5th graders, and meets most Sundays from 2:50 to 3:30pm.

Come learn music skills and songs to share! If you'd like more information, please contact Irene Pointon HERE.
Finance Chair Needed

We have a dynamic group of volunteers at Grace who serve as our financial officers, yet we need still someone who can call our committee together and send its recommendations to Council for its consideration. That person might be YOU! If you are interested in helping us operate more effectively as a committee, and willing to serve as our chair, please let the Church Office know.

Good Samaritan Fund

Are you in need? How about someone you know? At the June meeting, Council voted to allocate the undesignated memorial funds from 2020 to the Good Samaritan Fund, with the intention that the funds might offer help to members of Grace who could use a little financial assistance. As one member of Council put it, "We need to help the helpers and not try to pour from an empty cup. Hopefully these resources can help with that."

To request assistance from this fund, please contact either of the pastors. All assistance is confidential.
Taking Faith Home carries the previous Sunday's themes throughout the week. These devotions include daily Scripture readings, prayers, hymn suggestions, milestones, conversation starters, service opportunities, and at-home rituals.
