CHRISTMAS SERVICES
Dear St. John's Parishioners and Friends:
Christmas is now just two days away. We have spent the last four weeks, the season of Advent, preparing ourselves in heart and mind to welcome the baby Jesus born in that stable some 2000 years ago. God sent God's son Jesus to show us who God is, to show us how to live our lives and to care for each other. Jesus came as a light in a very dark world. And Jesus continues to be the light for us today.
St. John's will offer several opportunities during the coming days to worship God and to hear again the Christmas story. Please join us for the following services:
Wednesday, December 23 - Evening Prayer (last Wed. in Advent)
Thursday, Christmas Eve - Christmas Hymns. Join us at 5:00 PM on ZOOM to sing some beloved Christmas hymns, to share some prayers and to hear the
Christmas story; followed by a time to talk with each other and share
Christmas greetings. Light a candle as we come online to remember that
Jesus is the light of the world.
Thursday, Christmas Eve - an online service of Holy Eucharist with
hymns, solos, trumpet and piano, recorded in our beautiful St. John's
Church, decorated for Christmas. Bulletin with hymns (words and music) may be printed in advance.

Bulletin: Order of Service
Sunday, December 27 - "A Christmas Festival of Lessons and Music",
a service provided by the diocese, giving us an opportunity to all
worship together; followed by our virtual coffee hour at 10:00 AM and
the Adult Lectionary Class at 10:30 AM. The service premieres online at 8 AM.

May you and yours enjoy a blessed and peaceful Christmas season, remembering always God's love for us.
