What is Fair Trade?
Fair trade is an approach to business and to development based on dialogue, transparency, and respect that seeks to create greater equity in the international trading system. Fair trade businesses partner with farmers and craftspeople in developing countries who are socially and economically marginalized in finding markets and customers for their goods.

Many of the companies we have already visited on this journey are Certified Fair Trade Companies. At World's Window we seek out Fair Trade and socially conscious companies to help fill our store. We continue to be committed to offering gifts and clothing that make a positive difference in the lives of the people who make them.

On Day 19, we're looking back and celebrating the certified Fair Trade Companies that we've visited so far. Each picture is an easy click to the art we carry.

As we head into tomorrow's celebration of Mother's Day, we are giving a huge "shout out" to all mothers. "Mothers" include biological mothers and all the mothering persons in our lives - adoptive mothers, persons who choose to not have children of their own, and those who continue to "gather" children to them and give them mothering care. It might be aunts, neighbors or friends, and they come in all shapes, colors, and sizes, just like the many kinds of flowers filling our garden.  A huge thank you to you all!

   We still have great
MothersDayAssortments
selections on our Mother's Day Gift Assortments. For any last-minute, on-line gift orders you want to pick up today for Mother's Day, we will be available at the store between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. Please "note" that on your order and we will confirm the pick-up details and refund shipping costs.

We are continuing to plan how we at World's Window will re-open our store in Brookside and welcome you in. Right now we plan to open Friday, May 15th with limited hours. We will posting more details in the coming days as to how we plan to re-open World's Window in a welcoming and safe manner for all.

We THANK YOU for your continued online shopping support.  YOU are an important part of what makes World's Window so special!
