Roslyn Public Schools
SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS

May 8, 2020
Dear Roslyn Families,

In the summer months, we will be focusing our attention on making sure that our instructional program, whether in person or remotely, is ready to meet the challenges ahead, and that our buildings are safe and secure for students and staff, assuming we are able to return in September.

Consequently, I regret that the Roslyn Summer Academy will not take place in 2020 . For those who have already registered children for this summer, I thank you for interest and apologize for the inconvenience. We will plan to bring the program back in the summer of 2021.

Students whose IEP's call for year-round services will continue to receive them during the summer, as always. The Office of Pupil Personnel Services coordinates these services and will communicate directly with the families who are affected.

We are still awaiting a decision from Albany about what kind of summer academic programs for Regents credit may be available for high school students. We will inform you when an announcement is made.

Stay well and stay strong, Roslyn.

Sincerely,
Allison Brown
