LETTER FROM THE CHAMBER PRESIDENT
Hello,

It is hard to imagine where we were 10 days ago versus where we are today with our families and businesses, and to still be so uncertain of where we will be 10 days from now. The COVID-19 Pandemic has certainly re-written history and as we all adapt and pivot, know that your Chamber is strong, and that we are here and committed to utilizing all the resources available to help you in the best way we can.

Our chamber has been supporting Shakopee businesses since 1955. Those that came before us went through wars, recessions, epidemics and acts of terrorism, and this is something else that we are going to weather together.

We have 300 members who employ thousands of people in our community and I have been beyond impressed with the way that everyone is stepping up to lead their teams through this, making difficult decisions, and supporting one another. I spoke to a member this morning who repurposed their manufacturing plant to start producing surface sanitizer and hand sanitizer in bulk to keep those on the front lines safe. I've seen countless social media posts of chamber members and community members sewing face masks for our healthcare workers. I've seen many examples of people connecting their "haves" with other's "needs" to help ensure that no one is going without. In this time of uncertainty and anxiety, I am overwhelmed with all of the grace, courage, and Shakopee strength that I am seeing. I've never been prouder to be part of this amazing community. We will get through this.

In the meantime, we need to continue to focus on health and safety. Please keep social distancing, please work from home if you can, please follow the CDC guidelines. The Chamber team is all working remotely but rest assured, it is business as usual for us. We are here and committed to connecting you with the resources you need, and bringing you the most accurate and up to date information we can.

Be safe Chamber friends,

Angie
KEEP SHAKOPEE STRONG
SHAKOPEE AREA RESOURCES FOR COVID-19

The Shakopee Chamber and Visitors Bureau has compiled a list of helpful resources to use during this time of social distancing to slow and limit the spread of COVID-19. We will update as more information becomes available. If you have any additions, please email the Chamber.
SHAKOPEE BUSINESS IMPACT SURVEY
IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY DONE SO, PLEASE TAKE THIS IMPORTANT SURVEY

The Shakopee Chamber & Visitors Bureau is concerned about you and your business as we navigate these uncharted waters with COVID-19.

Our goal is to understand and capture your business needs so we can be helpful in providing access to the vast array of resources being established at the local, state, and federal levels. In addition, we strive to help coordinate informational resources between our government and our local business community, share information, and provide assistance wherever needed to help us all maneuver through this time.

We are being asked to surface business impacts to our local, state and federal partners. We will use your survey responses in that effort. In addition, we want to be able to direct you to resources if they are available.

Thank you for participating in this confidential survey, which should take 5-10 minutes to complete.
