Tenuta di Arceno
Chianti Classico Riserva 2016
93/100 - Wine Advocate (9/19/2019) "The 2016 Chianti Classico Riserva is a nicely integrated and seamless wine, with satisfying fullness and richness. It reveals a very contemporary bouquet with black cherry covered in chocolate. The wine is thinner in the mouth, and the tannins make their presence known. But overall, it shows a very streamlined construction. Pair it with a French onion soup. The blend is 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in French barrique for 12 months. Some 29,000 bottles were released. Again, Tenuta di Arceno gives you great value for your money. Drink Date 2019 - 3032." (Italy)

Lemelson
"Cuvée X" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2017
91/100 - Our Score (6/2020) Eric Lemelson has been bottling distinctive Oregon Pinot Noir since the 1999 vintage and we've been adoring fans since his wines came to Chicago a few years later. While Eric typically ages his Pinots in oak barrel for 15 months, "Cuvée X" sees just 7 months, almost exclusively in previously used wood. This reduces the oak impact and allows the youthful freshness of the pure Pinot fruit to shine through. His 2017 Cuvée X is a vibrant wine with fresh, deeply flavorful red fruit notes, bright red earth tones, a surprisingly age-worthy structure and a soft, lifted finish. We've worked with previous vintages of this wine and 2017 is by far the deepest, most elegant and most complex bottling yet. Give it an hour or two in a decanter and you will be looking at one of the very best twenty buck Oregon Pinot Noirs on the market. The fact that it comes from certified organic estate vineyards makes the story even better! (Oregon)

Diatom
"Bar-M" Los Alamos Valley Chardonnay 2018
93/100 - Wine Advocate (9/12/2019)
93/100 - Vinous, Antonio Galloni (9/2019) "From a site in Los Alamos, the 2018 Chardonnay Bar M is perfumed, lifted and wonderfully gracious in feel. Citrus and floral notes abound in a very pretty, expressive Chardonnay that shows the aromatic style that is so common here. White flowers, mint and saline overtones add closing layers to this pretty and inviting Chardonnay from Greg Brewer's Diatom label." (California)

Trisaetum
"Ribbon Ridge Estate" Dry Riesling 2017
A charismatic, handcrafted dry Oregon Riesling from Trisaetum. $32 at the winery.
93/100 - Wine Enthusiast (10/1/2018)
91/100 - Wine Advocate (11/30/2018) "The 2017 Ribbon Ridge Dry Riesling has a delicate nose of wet stone, lime zest, lemon pith, white peach and white apricot. Light to medium-bodied and dry in the mouth, it gives plenty of white stone fruit flavor and citrus blossom accents, with wicked acidity and a long, citrusy finish buzzing with energy. 545 cases produced. Drink Date 2018 - 2021." (Oregon)

Bodegas Morca
"Flor de Goda" Campo de Borja Garnacha 2018
88+/100 - Our Score (6/2020) This 100% Garnacha comes from the team at Juan Gil. These guys know how to turn high quality, inexpensive fruit into tasty, impactful wines. This powerful red checks in at 15.5% alcohol, a percentage rarely seen at this price, yet the wine finds balance and energy. Look for juicy, ripe red berry fruits, a hint of pepper and notes of red earth. (Spain)

Mount Veeder
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Wine Spectator awarded 94 points to the prior vintage of this Napa Valley classic. They've not yet released a rating for this 2017 bottling but in a special feature on the winery, their James Molesworth, wrote...  "The 2017 Napa Cabernet is ripe, juicy and engaging, packed with blue and black fruit flavors that are more up-front. It's slightly less Mount Veeder in profile, though it still has that DNA-the bay and licorice root notes-in the background. It's well-built, and should age well."
This is another powerful bottling from Mount Veeder that will make Cab lovers VERY happy. (California)

Altos Las Hormigas
"Classico" Mendoza Malbec 2018
92/100 - James Suckling (3/27/2019)
90+/100 - Our Score (5/2020)
91/100 - Wine Advocate (10/31/2019) "The unoaked 2018 Malbec Clasico 2018 comes from a very good year, after 2013 and 2014, which were very difficult years, and 2015 and 2016 that saw lots of rain. According to winemaker Leo Erazo, it's the most complex wine to make because of the many different sources of grapes, growers and the volume they make. But they planted 22 hectares in 2012, so they use more of their own grapes; the wine now has some 30% of grapes from Valle de Uco, which is always a cooler region that is noticed in the wine, which is very balanced, harmonious and easy to drink. It has a dusty note and fine tannins; it's elegant and especially very drinkable." (Argentina)

Xavier Vignon
"Esprit Francais" Côtes du Rhone 2016
92/100 - Jeb Dunnuck (8/28/2018) "A rocking Cotes du Rhone, the 2016 Cotes du Rhone Esprit Francais gives up loads of blackberry and blueberry fruits, tons of peppery herbs, full body, a rounded, sexy texture, and no hard edges. It shows the purity and freshness of the vintage as well as loads of depth and length." (France)

Domaine Salmon
"Grande Réserve" Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie 2018
Nervy saline minerality meets fleshy orchard fruit yumminess!
90/100 - Our Score (7/2020)
90/100 - Wine Enthusiast (10/1/2019) "This ripe, rich wine is full of fruitiness and taut minerality. It is textured and shot through with a zesty character that shows well against the brightness. The wine is ready to drink." (France)

Nautilus
Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2019
90/100 - Wine Spectator (2020)
93/100 - James Suckling (10/16/2019)
91/100 - Wine Enthusiast (5/1/20) "This wine is a touch salty and flinty to start, which adds character to the notes of lemon-lime, gooseberry, pineapple rind, honeysuckle and green herbs wafting from the glass. A creamy yet chalky texture is woven with juicy fruit and prickly acidity, ending long and citrusy. Spicy Mexican or Thai cuisine has met its match. Editors' Choice." (New Zealand)

Domaine Lafage
"Miraflors" Côtes du Roussillon Rosé 2019
Beautiful! One of the best versions of this delicious pink wine that we've had. All the good flavors are here!
91/100 - Our Score (6/2020)
91/100 - Decanter (4/24/2020) "It's always nice to find a delicious, light, juicy rose outside of Provence. Sourced from Grenache Gris and Noir vines some nearing 80-years-old, together with a portion of younger Mourvedre, this is made from early-picked grapes to ensure a fresher style and pressed without crushing for an incredibly pale hue. On the palate there's delicate white peach, orange peel and strawberry flavours underpinned by crisp minerality." (France)

Pere Mata
"Cupada No. 21" Cava Reserva Brut NV
91/100 - Our Score (6/2020) Pere Mata is back with another compellingly over delivering, bone dry Cava. Though officially designated as a non-vintage bottling, the fruit comes entirely from the 2016 harvest. A blend of the traditional Cava grapes Macabeu, Xarel-lo and Parellada, this nervy, high-pitched, salty, high acidity, food-friendly sparkler is a must for summer patio parties.A huge amount of refinement, character and overall pleasurability for an exceptionally moderate price! (Spain)

Price: 199  (includes one bottle each of the above twelve wines)
