UPDATE: Board Issues Statement on Assessment Payments
Ocean Pines Association President Doug Parks on Monday provided a statement, on behalf of the Board of Directors, about annual assessment payments during the COVID-19 crisis. Read more.
Highlights from the March 20 OPA Special Board Meeting
Ocean Pines Board members approved three capital purchase requests and held a closed-session discussion on matters related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting was held without public in attendance because of Gov. Larry Hogan’s recent executive order limiting public gatherings to no more than 10 people.  Read more.
Ocean Pines Police to Implement Enhanced Telephone Reporting
In minor property crime cases, where there is no suspect, police will take the report telephonically, except in cases where a victim requests the presence of the officer.  Read more.
Committee Meetings Canceled for 60 Days
All Ocean Pines advisory committee meetings scheduled for the next 60 days have been canceled, because of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) concerns. Read more.
Public Warned Not to Use Ocean Pines Parks
All Ocean Pines Association outdoor amenities are closed until further notice, including parks, playgrounds and tot lots. These will not be cleaned or disinfected for COVID-19.   Read more.
Ocean Pines Golf Club, Racquet Center Closed
Ocean Pines' golf course and racquet center are both temporarily closed. The racquet center closed March 20 and the golf course will close at 5 p.m. on March 23 per Maryland Governor Larry Hogan's order for all non-essential businesses to close.

This Week at the Farmers & Artisans Market
The Ocean Pines Farmers & Artisans Market remains open every Saturday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. in White Horse Park to serve the community and provide much needed groceries. Check out the vendors who will be participating this week.   Read more.
Governor Hogan Announces Closure of Non-Essential Businesses
Governor Larry Hogan today ordered the closure of all non-essential businesses in the state and announced a $175 million relief package to assist employees, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.   Read more.
Worcester County Offices Closed to Public, Services Still Available
The Worcester County Commissioners have closed the Worcester County Government offices to the public. All WCG offices will continue standard operating hours to continue to provide all public services at this time. Read more.
Worcester County Closes Park Playgrounds
Worcester County Recreation & Parks is closing county park playgrounds and suspending the rental of county park pavilions and fields starting March 23 as part of ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. Read more.
Ocean City Beach and Boardwalk Closed
As of 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, the beach and Boardwalk in Ocean City are closed due to the rapid spread of COVID-19. This closure will remain in effect thru April 15, at which time it will be re-evaluated based on the status of the global health crisis.     Read more.
Town of Ocean City Buildings Closed to Public
As of March 20, public access to City Hall, the Convention Center and Northside Park’s Recreation Complex will be prohibited. Town employees will continue to work to provide services over the phone, email and online.    Read more.

Local Company to Offer Bulk Water for Sale on Tuesday
Eastern Shore Coffee & Water on Tuesday, March 24 will offer bulk water products for sale in the Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce parking lot on 11031 Cathell Road, from 1-5 p.m.  Read more.

Disaster Relief Loans Available for Small Businesses
Worcester County Economic Development has shared information about how small business owners can access resources and receive assistance in applying for loans. Read more.
Republic Services Update
At this time, Republic Services does not anticipate a general impact to operations, and waste collections will continue as scheduled. Notification will be given If an interruption in service is expected. Read more.
Admin Front Desk Closed to Public
Ocean Pines has closed the Administration Building front desk to the public and will temporarily accept payments by phone and drop box only.  Read more.
Atlantic General Hospital Announces Visitor Policy Changes
In order to protect patients, caregivers and visitors, AGH has implemented changes to its visitor policy, effective March 20 until further notice.  Read more.
Ocean Pines Chamber to Temporarily Close Office, Postpone Events
The Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce has closed its office to the public. All events have been cancelled or postponed until further notice. Read more.
The Parke Issues Clubhouse and Mail Pavilion Update
The Parke Clubhouse is closed for all senior citizen activities/events and will remain closed as long as the Governor’s Executive Order is in effect. The Mail Pavilion will be open as usual for delivery and pick up of mail.  Read more.

Through April 1 - Shepherd's Nook & Flea Market Closed
The Shepherd's Nook and Flea Market at the Community Church at Ocean Pines will remain closed through April 1. Clothing and household donations cannot be accepted and processed during this time. The public is asked to hold donations until the store reopens. When it does, it will be stocked with spring and summer clothing.

April 1 - Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce Fee-Free Raffle Drawing
Purchase tickets for your chance to win an Ocean Pines assessment (non-waterfront) paid for the year, Republic Services collection for a year, and a $200 Choptank Electric credit plus a Beach Club parking pass and four swim passes for any Ocean Pines pool. Or take $2,000 cash. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased at the Ocean Pines Chamber office, the Ocean Pines branches of the Bank of Ocean City or Taylor Bank, at the Ocean Pines Association Administration Building or online at oceanpineschamber.org.

May 1 - Ocean Pines Garden Club May Day Celebration
Join in this 3rd annual event to beautify the Ocean Pines community. Place a basket of fresh flowers and greens outside your home on Friday, May 1 before 9 a.m. Arrangements should include a description of the the inspiration for the creation and be visible from the street. A separate category will be available for Ocean Pines businesses. Judges will select 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention winners. To register, please email your name, address and email to Anita Roberts at anitain38OP@gmail.com before April 24.
