The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act created a new employee retention tax credit for employers who are closed, partially closed, or experiencing significant revenue losses as a result of COVID-19. Read more
Under the CAREs Act, self-employed will be able to apply for unemployment benefitts, but Pennsylvania officials said the website is not up and ready yet. The online application for the new program is scheduled to open at the end of April.
