"Food Runners SF is stepping up to help the community!
The recent shelter-in-place order has severely curtailed our donations from the tech community and other businesses. Founder Mary Risley and Chef Todd Corboy conceived of the Food Runners Meal Program, repurposing donated groceries and produce, into delicious, nutritious, restaurant quality meals, which we are delivering to senior homes, group homes, low income housing, and others most impacted by the current crisis.
We need your help as volunteers! Duties include packing meals, sorting vegetables and fruits, assisting with loading and unloading, chopping and preparing ingredients, and helping with dishwashing and cleanup. No kitchen experience is required."

Description of Food Runners Meal Program

"Thank you for your interest in volunteering to help make fresh meals for those most in need in SF. Please review the available 2-hour slots and click on the button to register. You are welcome to register for multiple slots. Duties include serving as shift lead, assembling wraps/sandwiches/salads, chopping and prepping ingredients, organizing donated goods, packing meals, and assisting with cleanup and dishwashing. We ask that you be flexible with duties based on the chef and team's needs as they plan and iron-chef the donated items we receive.
**Please bring your own mask/face covering, a hat/baseball cap or hair tied up, and closed-toed shoes. We will provide gloves and practice physical distancing.**
If your plans change and you can't make it, please cancel your ticket(s) so other volunteers can sign up.
Thank you so much for volunteering!"
