Ruth & Lewis Davis Religious School
Sukkot with our Religious School!
From Rabbi Baum

Shalom CSK Religious School community!

We are looking forward to learning together this Sunday in our congregation's Sukkah! Last week, our students learned about the concept of Hiddur Mitzvah/Beautification of Commandments by creating decorations for our congregational sukkah, as well as the holiday of Sukkot. In Hebrew class, our students learned the berachot/blessings for the lulav and etrog which we will shake together this Sunday. We will begin our day this Sunday at 9:30 am.

Here are some things to know for this week:

  • PARENTS - If you would like to shake the lulav and etrog, please join me in the sukkah right after drop-off at 9:30 am. I will teach you about the meaning of the ritual and teach you how to shake! Please join me in the Sukkah!

  • Tuesday, September 28, 6:30 pm is Simchat Torah Under the Stars (in lieu of our regularly scheduled class at 4:30 pm). Please join us. RSVP HERE

  • On Sunday, we will begin at 9:30 am and end at 12 pm. We ask parents to stay outside during drop off and pick up to
reduce the amount of people in the building.

9:30 am (new time) until 12:00 pm. During this time, our students will learn Judaics with Mr. Zach, Hebrew with Morah Marla, and Tefillah (prayer) with Rabbi Baum.
Our K - 2nd graders will be with Miss Jo during these times.

On Tuesdays, we will meet from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm.
(No Tuesday class on 9/21 for Sukkot or 9/28 for Simchat Torah)
