Come join us in a 2.2 mile walk, this Sunday afternoon, October 20th. We will take a church bus, leaving FCC at 2 p.m. Please sign up-found on the bulletin board along the ramp leading up into the sanctuary. You can support the cause to try and eliminate world hunger by:
1.   Go online to www.crophungerwalk.org/winstonsalemnc/fcc and you can make a donation, giving credit to our church total, and you will automatically receive an e-mail receipt.
2.   Write a check to CWS/CROP and give to Paul Gillespie. These checks will be turned in the day of the walk.
3.   Write a check to FCC, designated for the crop walk, and the church will write a check to cover these donations that we will turn in as we register for the walk.

Thank you for supporting this GREAT cause!

Crisis Control Ministry

Dear Friends,

The year 2019 is quickly passing by. Up to now, you have prepared approximately 270 breakfasts, 270 lunches and 270 suppers for your family. However, one day you open your cupboard and the shelves are bare! If only... Here folks, is where Crisis Control Ministry can help those in need. With the items you cheerfully bring each month, Crisis Control can fill those shelves. October has been designated as BOXED DINNER month. This can include Hamburger Helper, macaroni and cheese, etc-anything made from a box. Help fill those cupboards! You will be blessed.

Youth Happenings

Hello all and Happy October,

Thanks to everyone who supported our youth's fundraiser lunch during the Fall Craft Fair. We appreciate your
continued prayers for this great group of students! During the month of October, we will study the Four W's of Worship: With whom do we worship? What does worship look like? Where can we worship? And finally, Why do we worship? We will use passages from the Psalms, Ecclesiastes and
Lamentations as our guides on this journey.

The youth group will also help lead Trunk-or-Treat on Wednesday October 30th at 6 p.m. If you would like to decorate a "trunk" for Trunk-or-Treat, please let Kaitlin or Pastor David know!

Peace,
Kaitlin

PINC

To those interested in renewing our PINC (Partners In Christ) meetings, please respond in an e-Mail. In your answer, please relate the following answers:
  1. Your level of interest
  2. Evenings that you Cannot meet
  3. Types of activities that interest you
Our goal is to meet together and get to know each other in a more personal way. In sharing various activities, I think we accomplish that in a very Christ-like way.

In the past in addition to opening devotionals (when appropriate) we have performed several service projects - Valentine and Easter Baskets for seniors, Preparation of eggs for our Easter egg hunt, and help with fund-raising projects of the church. In addition we have prepared items for sale to raise funds and had sale of donated items.  We have also participated in fun activities such as movies, bowling, art and wine parties, and dinners out. We also had interesting speakers for our meetings as well as instructors for arts and crafts projects.

Your response to this message is important in deciding the future of PINC.

If you are the last person to sign the book on the row, pass it back to the beginning. The first person who signed will remove the sheet and place it in the offering plate .
