COVID-19 Update
Dear Family and Friends of Tabor Village:
Tabor Home Outbreak Update
Our hearts go out to all those who have lost loved ones during this season. Our hearts are breaking alongside all of these grieving families. When residents move into a Tabor Village residence, they become like family. To lose one family member is heartbreaking, but to lose over twenty is a devastating tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with our entire Tabor family during this time.

Residents
  • Total cases since the outbreak: 92
  • Recovered: 66
  • Active cases: 1
  • Total COVID-related deaths: 25

Staff
  • Total cases since the outbreak: 59
  • Recovered and/or returned to work: 52
  • Active cases: 7

While we continue to grieve those we have lost, we are pleased to say that we only have a total of 8 active cases in total (1 resident and 7 staff). This means there is finally light at the end of this tunnel. We completed another round of swab tests for all staff and residents yesterday and we are praying and believing for every test result to come back NEGATIVE. Please join us in praying for zero positive test results and instead pray for 100% negative test results. We are hanging on to hope and believing this will be true. Appreciate all of your support and prayers during this time.

Feedback? We Want To Hear It!
Tabor Village Families, we want to hear from you! Help us serve you and your loved ones better. Have a request on your loved one’s behalf? Is there something your loved one used to love to enjoy every morning, but been missing? Is there something you see that would further enrich life at Tabor for them? Perhaps it’s an activity, or a special creamer for their morning coffee.

We can't make any promises until we hear from you, so let us know how we can better serve your loved one by emailing us at the link below and we'll do our very best to accommodate these special requests.

Christmas at TABOR HOME
While Christmas will look different this year, we are beyond THRILLED to finally share with you that we have received official approval from Fraser Health to start window visits again! We know this has been long awaited during the outbreak and it fills us with great joy to share this news with you. We are still finalizing some small details and hope to share more information with you next week.

While we're not quite ready to start booking, you can rest (we hope) a little easier tonight knowing that we do have approval and you'll be able to see your loved one again soon. Keep an eye on your emails for those details to come.

In the meantime, our Recreation team has been working hard to to find creative ways to make Christmas special and a holiday that everyone can enjoy even during the outbreak. Stay tuned for more details coming soon.
Christmas at TABOR COURT
I am happy to share that we have been busy decorating, including our door decorating contest which is well underway! Christmas at Tabor Court is complete with hot apple cider, hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, and lots of Christmas music and movies and the cherry on top of it all is of course, visits with family.
