Dear HDS Families,
Peter Bailey, Executive Director of the
Association of Independent Maryland and D.C, Schools,
has recommended that private schools in Maryland follow the mandate, announced yesterday by Governor Larry Hogan, to close all schools through March 27th.
Faculty will still convene as planned on Monday, March 23rd to test and plan for distance learning days. Families who are not able to pick up books and other materials today may do so on Monday, March 23rd between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. We will begin implementing the distance learning plan on Wednesday, March 25th.
As we have mentioned in previous correspondence, please do
not
begin to use any distance learning materials until we ask you to do so. We want our families, faculty, and staff to sleep in, relax, and enjoy one another before we begin school again.
