Dear Riordan Families,

We look forward to welcoming our students this week! For many this will be the first time back to campus in a while, and we know there will be a period of adjustment.

It is important that all students and families take a moment to review our updated COVID-19 Safety Plan. Just like last year, the plan may be amended at any time based on local and state guidelines. Here are key points:

  • Masks must be worn by all individuals when inside the school building.

  • Students who have been fully vaccinated for COVID‑19 do not have to quarantine in the event of a close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, though they should watch closely for symptoms.

  • A daily health screening through PowerSchool is no longer required, but please stay home if you are sick. Report absences to attendance@riordanhs.org

  • If you test positive for Covid-19, you must report to Riordan's COVID Coordinator, covid@riordanhs.org.

  • We recommend that all eligible members of the Riordan community get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Mr. Tim Reardon
Interim President
Watch Pre-Orientation Videos

All students are required to watch a series of short videos and presentations to supplement the information you will receive at orientation. These are fun and quick, will cover the following topics, and can be viewed on the Orientation Page:

  • Dress Code Policies and Attendance Policies (Don't forget: Take the Quiz at the end of these slideshows!)
  • 4x4 Schedule and New Lunch Period
  • Standards Based Grading
  • Athletics and SportsNet Clearances
  • Technology: Email, PowerSchool and Schoology Set Up
Drop Off

  • Drive through drop off is available in the back parking lot until 8:40 am (the start of Block 1); after 8:40 am all students must enter through the Main Entrance on Frida Khalo way.
  • When dropping off in the parking lot, please follow the line through to the exit, DO NOT pull into a space, and DO NOT drop off by the entry doors.
  • At 9:00 am all entrances are locked and students must be buzzed in to the Main Office at the front entrance under the breezeway.
  • Additionally, students who arrive before 8:40 am but do not have a zero period class should report to the Cafeteria or a classroom for scheduled office hours. Students should not be waiting in hallways or the library before school.
