Chabot Alumni Spotlight
Anamarie Navarro Tabujara
CHABOT GRADUATING CLASS OF : 2010
MAJOR : English
CURRENT ENDEAVORS: After leaving Chabot College to transfer to Sacramento State University, I interned in Seoul, South Korea at Myongji University to teach an Advanced Speaking and Listening summer college course. After graduating, I was offered a position to co-teach in Busan Korea, where I spent a year enjoying the wonderful company of K-6 th grade students during my workday. After work, I often frequented the beach with my close friends of ex-pats and native South Koreans.

After leaving South Korea, I worked as a Site Coordinator for the East Bay Collaborative for Underserved Children (ECUC), spearheaded by UC Berkeley. I then left the Bay Area to move to Chicago, Illinois to support my now husband in his endeavors to become a nurse. After careful consideration, I decided to apply to Chabot College as an Instructional Assistant for the Learning Connection. My husband and I now happily live in the Bay Area.

MEMORABLE CHABOT MOMENT : My favorite memory of Chabot is working as a WRAC (Writing and Reading Across the Curriculum) and ESL tutor at PATH (now re-named Learning Connection). I enjoyed helping others and would often accompany nontraditional ESL students to A&R to help them sign-up for classes.

ADVICE FOR FUTURE ALUMNI : Recognize what makes you happiest and if that feeling leads you to different adventures, be sure to follow it.

I hope to meet everyone at our Alumni Events!
