Kohl donates $10 million to support public outreach, teaching, & research 
Representing Wisconsin in the U.S. Senate for 24 years, Herb Kohl demonstrated his deep commitment to public service and his ethos of civility in public debate and policymaking. A $10 million gift from Herb Kohl Philanthropies to the La Follette School of Public Affairs extends the reach of that legacy. Read more
Yackee receives prestigious Kellett research award
La Follette School Director and Professor Susan Webb Yackee received a Kellett Mid-Career Award from UW-Madison's Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education. She studies U.S. policymaking, with a concentration on government regulations. Read more.
Kelsy Green & Mikhaila Calice
Calice offers perspective as future energy leader
One month before receiving her MPA degree, Mikhaila Calice shared her perspective on addressing climate change during the Fastest Path to Zero Summit in April at the University of Michigan. Participants included high-level clean energy and climate leaders, policymakers, news reporters, and faculty from Michigan's energy policy and engineering programs. Read more
Students shine during service activities
Braving 30-degree temperatures and snow flurries, three hearty La Follette School students - Patrick Landers, Chris Webb and Liz White - assisted with the City of Madison's clean-up effort at Tenney Park on April 27. The La Follette School Student Association arranged this and seven other service opportunities during the 2018-19 academic year. Read more

Student services group honors Wright-Racette 
The La Follette School's David Wright-Racette received the Student Personnel Association Frontline Award for his efforts as the school's student services associate on April 25.  Wright-Racette  manages administrative aspects of the school's student services office, which serves 120 graduate students, 22 faculty, and 11 staff members.
