Our fourth Moonlight Dining on the Boulevard was a Great Success!
Our Moonlight Dining on the Boulevard event was a great way to say goodbye to summer with your friends and neighbors on a beautiful evening! In addition to great food and weather, the live Music provided by Kelly Music for Life featuring MK & Friends Jazz Quartet was a big hit!
Nominations Needed for Green Business Award!
In conjunction with the Environmental Advisory Committee, the Green Business Award is for a business who has shown a commitment to environmental sustainability. Businesses may self-nominate, be nominated by a community member or by the committee. We'll be considering many facets of your business such as lighting types, storm water management, use of sustainable materials, renewable energy and bike racks for customers and staff. Even if you have made a few environmentally friendly chnages, we want to hear about it! Email your nomination to Jeanne at  [email protected]!

HPED Welcomes Wicked Cutz!

HPED would like to welcome Wicked Cutz to Haverford Township. Danielle Strano, the owner of Wicked Cutz, opened her hair cutting salon in the beginning of July which is located at 2333 West Darby Rd . She grew up in Drexel Hill and New Jersey. She moved to Havertown because she fell in love with our sense of community and has lived in the Oakmont area for the past 8 years.

Danielle has been a hairdresser for 17 years and started Wicked Cutz to “cater to guests the way I think they deserve” and to put her full passion into her work. She hopes that Wicked Cutz is an environment that is comfortable and homey to every member in the community.

HPED Board Welcomes New Board Member!
HPED would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest Board Member, Michael Mallick! Mike has lived in Havertown for 13 years. He is a Principal at Valley Forge Financial Group in King of Prussia and has a background in finance, accounting and real estate development. In addition to coaching many local youth sports teams, he currently also serves on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee for the Malvern Retreat House. Mike is an avid runner and triathlete. We are excited for the wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm that Mike will bring to HPED!
