A Word
Serra is a great school. Students and teachers are performing in a difficult situation. In a perfect world, we would not have to make this ask but we do.

$67,680 is the goal
In the last Serra Family Newsletter we presented the financial situation we find ourselves in. We pointed out that the Advancement/Alumni office produced .24% of the schools revenue.
Alumni notified us they appreciated the numbers. Three asked asked us to present a specific goal for this ALL HAIL! fund raising effort. FY 2018-19 Alumni donations totaled  $250,845. Through April 13 we are at $183,165. Thank You!
So the goal is $67,680,

There are two basic reasons for the shortfall...Four of our major Alumni donors are planning on reducing their gifts and the Cavalier Classic Golf Tournament is postponed,
(we will have it.)
Usually 1300 open the newsletter. Serra has 3000 Facebook Friends. (There is some overlap.) $67,680 divided by 3500 equals an average gift of $9.33 to reach the goal.

Serra means something different to all of us.

$61 buys your ALL HAIL! card. If you don't have your Alumni legacy tile, now would be a good time. $201 or just donate and help Serra High School.

Finally!

Thanks to Tim Boyer '70, noted sculptress, Stella-Singleton Jones, produced "Serra Divine" for Serra to use in the silent auction at the Dedication to Excellence Gala,  Rob '73 and Mayra Wiessner '73 were high bid for the  sculpture.
Shortly after last years "Giving Tuesday" Rob brought the sculpture to Serra with the letter which opens with this,
"On this Giving Tuesday, Mayra and I would like to donate "Stella's "Serra Divine' back to Serra High School. Its rightful home is among the students that inspired its creation...."

Rob and Mayra, Thank you.

Our Students Report from Home
We have been in webinars with other schools discussing everyone's progress and performance with online learning. We can say with assurance that Serra's students, teachers and administrators are delivering superbly.

A little more
Our families are doing a good job in keeping up with tuition.  Thank you.

The Advancement/Office is working with our Friends of Serra Donors, our supporting Corps and Orgs and Foundations to help meet our goals there.
