"Cloud Computing – Fundamentals for Business"

Cloud Computing is a word that means different things to different people. This presentation will describe the cloud concepts in a way that workers, project managers, project sponsors and corporate executives can understand. We will also take a look at the benefits that cloud computing can bring to a business.

Speaker: Daphne Morris, I.S.P.

Daphne Morris is an Enterprise Architect with ISM Canada. Daphne has been in the IT industry for over 32 years. She provides thought leadership to various ISM clients on Enterprise Architecture. She has been working as an IT Architect since 2000. She received her first IT Architect certification in 2007 and holds the 'L3' or 'Thought Leader Certified IT Architect' designation from IBM, in addition to the ‘Distinguished Architect' designation from The Open Group. Daphne has received the ‘Certified Microsoft Cloud Solution Architect' designation from Microsoft. Daphne focuses on facilitating the understanding and integration of business needs, principally in roles involving solutions architecture, solutions integration and enterprise architecture design, helping companies succeed by bridging the gap between the business and technologists, bringing the appropriate solution to meet the business requirements and realize benefits.

"Cyber Security and Fraud:
The Intersection Between Cyber Security Controls and Financial Controls"

Given recent fraud events in the news, we take the opportunity to discuss the relative effectiveness and limits of cyber security controls, and how cyber security controls can support general financial controls to prevent fraud.

Speaker: Erik Christensen, Director Cybersecurity and Risk, Horizon 

Erik Christensen has over 27 years of experience in Information Technology. In his 23 years in the private sector Erik has worked in industry, resource mining, energy and transportation & logistics. In the public sector, he has worked with higher education and public healthcare institutions. For the past 15 years, Erik's career has focused solely on cybersecurity and risk in both Information Technology and Industrial settings. Erik Christensen previously sat on the Critical Infrastructure Advisory Network for Saskatchewan.
