YEAR-END FUNDRAISING DRIVE

The French-American Foundation would like to thank you for being so supportive of our work during this challenging year. We are so grateful for all of the supportive messages we have received from you since March. As a team of six at the French-American Foundation, we shifted everything from one day to the next to be able to offer you valuable, noteworthy content throughout the pandemic. We’ve been thrilled to see so many new and familiar faces make the transition with us to a new online platform. It was our goal to offer our signature informative tone while staying a big, supportive family, and we’re proud to have continued to provide you with topical content and access to high level speakers.

One day after #GivingTuesday, the global day of giving, we’re relying on your generosity to sustain our efforts to strengthen ties between France and the US. With the cancellation of our annual Gala this year, we can’t do it without you. Any amount you can give is helpful! Thank you for your generous support!
We look forward to continuing this work with all of you. The collaborative spirit of the French-American Foundation is at the core of our work. If you have any ideas or questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to Emeline Foster, Executive Director of the French-American Foundation, directly at efoster@frenchamerican.org. We are here for you!
WEEKLY FOCUS
The future Biden Administration
The faces of the economic team President-elect Joe Biden unveiled publicly Tuesday included an African American woman, a man born in Nigeria, an Indian American woman and just one white man.

A fight is brewing over President-elect Joe Biden’s Cabinet picks, in one of the first faceoffs between the long-time dealmaker and Senate Republicans. Tensions are building on various fronts, from complaints that Biden’s team isn’t coordinating with Senate Republicans to warnings that he should expect a slower pace of confirmation after years-long frustrations from GOP senators about the treatment of President Trump’s nominees.

Lists of names of those the president-elect is said to be considering are flying across Washington, prompting lawmakers and interest groups to raise questions about some top contenders.

With each cabinet pick, President-elect Joe Biden has conveyed the same message -- government experience will matter in this administration. Thus far, Biden has put forward an impressive team of advisers with resumes that offer a stark contrast to what we have seen in the past four years.
