Staff Bulletin |April 23, 2020

During Wednesday nights Emporia Board of Education meeting, Superintendent of schools Kevin Case announced that each of our graduating students from EHS and the Flint Hills Learning Center will receive a complimentary sign for their yard.  We are excited to supply these signs as one of the many ways in which we are planning to recognize our graduates in these very different times.  A plan to distribute the signs will be announced at a later date.

Building For The Future Update:
Zach Snethen, HTK Architects reported that progress towards the first three construction projects continues even though face to face interactions have all been moved to zoom meetings. This past week nearly 100 students and teachers were able to review the current schematic design plans and provide feedback. The feedback from stakeholders is crucial in refining the plans and continue with design features.  HTK is also in regular communication with McCownGordon. They are reviewing the plans to ensure the scope of all work needed, aligns with the budget for each project.  McCownGordon is providing preliminary schematic design estimates so that each dollar can be spent in the most effective way.
