UPDATE To the JeffCo Business Grant
There has been a lot of confusion over the past week. Here is the LATEST information:
In support of our small business community, Jefferson County is providing a
second grant opportunity
for businesses that are in unincorporated Jefferson County. The Small Business Sustainability Grant program will open on Monday, July 6, and applications can be submitted through Friday, July 17. Businesses can apply for up to $10,000 to assist with COVID-19 related expenses.
Businesses who received funds from the Small Business Emergency Grant program, which was the first grant program made available to small businesses by Jefferson County, are eligible to apply for additional funds. The combined total of these grants cannot exceed $10,000 for any individual business.
Answers to questions you might have:
- If you applied for the first $5,000, you can apply for the additional amount for a total of up to $10,000.
- If you did not apply in the first round, you can apply for the full $10,000.
- You can still qualify even if you received money from the EIDL and/or the PPP.
- If you have any problems, please let me know as soon as possible.
(The confusion came in last week when the initial grant amount was increased to $10,000. Jeffco came back and said for the first round they would cap the grant at $5,000 and end applications on June 30. By closing out the first round on June 30, they have created a second grant that allows businesses to apply for an additional $5,000 or the full $10,000 if a business had not applied already. It has been confusing, but I'm staying on top of it. If you have questions, call me. ~Melanie 303-547-6144)
