News from Mrs. Sims

May brings the thought of transitions to our school. The 8th  graders will soon transition to high school, others will move on to the next grade level, we all will experience the ease of the summer months, and we will move on to the next challenge in our lives. It is an exciting time, but it also can leave us feeling anxious or sad.

As we countdown the days until summer vacation, let's not forget all of the wonderful things that are still going on. Our 2 nd and 6 th graders facilitated a beautiful May Crowning Ceremony on Tuesday in loving tribute to Mary. We had our beautiful art show. The 4 th graders experienced Pioneer Day, which is the exciting culminating event that celebrates their study of Kentucky history. Next week brings a fun ending to the school year for our 8 th graders as we have our cookout and experience graduation day. We are truly blessed at SMM!

May God Bless You and Your Family,
Wendy Sims
