Jay Gives Free Haircuts and So Much More
Jay Soto, Local Barber Volunteers at LUM
Once a month Jay Soto will be offering FREE haircuts in the LUM Office for clients and Emergency Shelter guests. A native of Lafayette and graduate of McCutcheon High School, he is a talented barber with the J. Clark Barbershop, Lafayette.

At LUM Jay gives much more than just a haircut. His interactions with each person are special. Jay gives his undivided attention — offering love, hope and respect. As he masterfully trims each person’s hair, you can see dignity restored and confidence built in each of his “customers.”

Help us THANK Jay Soto for this wonderful gift he is giving the LUM clients, especially those experiencing homelessness. Jay's desire to give back is inspiring.
Starbucks Food Share Program Benefits LUM
LUM Students, Clients and Guests Enjoy Starbucks
The newest Starbucks in Tippecanoe County (2718 US-52, West Lafayette, IN) has selected Lafayette Urban Ministry as their food share recipient. Starbucks is committed to hunger relief through their national-wide food share program. At the end of each day, Starbucks partners collect surplus pastries and fresh food to donate to agencies like LUM. {Pictured with part of this week's donation are Starbucks partners Bayleigh, Ava & Sarah Beth.}

These food items are a blessing to LUM. LUM program directors have been using these items as snacks for the After School Program students, as meals at the Emergency Shelter, and as a choice for the Food Pantry clients. So far, there has been zero food waste ALL of the food items have been given to LUM students, clients or guests. Next time you visit this West Lafayette Starbucks, say THANKS for LUM.
