Youth Service on Mother's Day
May 10 is Mother's Day, when we traditionally have our Youth Service. Children and youth do all parts of the service - from start to finish!

This year, each part of the service will be done by a different cohort. Check out the list below and let us know if anyone in your family is willing to participate!
  • The Welcome: Nursery, Playgroup & Good  Shepherd Atrium (age 0 to SK)
  • Opening Acclamation & Dismissal: True Vine Atrium (1st & 2nd Grades)
  • The Collect & Lord's Prayer: Children's Chapel / Kids Connection (3rd & 4th Grades)
  • The Readings: Confirmation Classes (7th & 8th Grades)
  • The Sermon: High School Youth
  • Prayers of the People: Club 56 (5th & 6th Grades)
Since our building will still be closed, everyone will take a video of their part. Thank you to Mr. Clemmitt, who will assemble everyone's videos into a beautiful service!

Confirmation

Christ Church is doing its best to contribute to minimizing the spread of COVID-19. All of our meetings were transferred to Zoom. We are sad to share that this year's Confirmation Service, which was scheduled for May 5, has been postponed.

We still have one more 7th grade whole group gathering on Monday, April 27 at 6pm. We will hear from Christopher on the Nicene Creed and write our own Statements of Faith.

Club 56
for 5th and 6th graders
Club 56 Valentine's Day celebration
Club 56 is a pre-Confirmation program for 5th and 6th graders. The goal is to get to know each other, the church, and stories in the Bible. We play games and do other activities that go along with each story/theme.

In May we continue our third unit on "Purpose: Why am I?" We explore ways we can contribute to the world and hear stories from the life of Jesus.

Club 56 meets every Wednesday from 6-6:50pm. Friends welcome!! Contact Melissa for the Zoom meeting details.
Kids Connection
for 3rd and 4th graders
Kids Connection is our monthly program for 3rd and 4th graders to get together and connect with their faith and each other. The focus is on games and having fun!

Our next Kids Connection is Sunday, May 17, 4:00-4:40pm. We will continue to celebrate the Easter season, focusing on hope, and the good things that happen after going through something difficult. Contact Melissa for Zoom meeting details.
Sunday School
for all children age three through 4th grade
Every Sunday morning, children from our Children's Chapel, True Vine and Good Shepherd classes come together to reconnect, sing some songs with Elizabeth Clemmitt, and hear a short lesson based on the Gospel readings from the Common Lectionary. The focus is on fun and being together. 11:00-11:30am.

If Zoom isn't for you - or even if it is, Sunday School activities that can be done at home are sent out every Friday. Each lesson is based on that Sunday's Gospel reading.

For the Sunday School at-home lesson or Zoom meeting information, contact  Melissa .
Playgroup
for children and their parents and caregivers
Children, parents and caregivers meet every Wednesday morning for conversation and connection. 9:30-10:00am. For Zoom meeting details, contact Melissa.
Baptisms
In the summer, baptisms are in the lake at Maple Street Park!
Several baptisms that were supposed to happen in the spring have had to be rescheduled. We will be excited to celebrate those church members and families when we are able to gather again in person! If you have a baby or child you would like to have  baptized , please fill out a  Baptism Request Form .

Recognition Sundays
Pancake Supper 2020
At the end of every year, we celebrate all the people who participated in our programs and volunteered their time and talent to make it all possible. Even though we won't be able to gather in person, we will do what we can to recognize YOU and show our appreciation. Please keep an eye out when you read the church-wide Weekly News in late May and early June for special bulletins for our children and youth volunteers, acolytes, choir, and graduates.

To ensure everyone's safety, this summer's youth mission trip has been rescheduled for next summer: June 12 - 19, 2021.
