New Mural Unveiled at Costa Mesa's Triangle Square

The "City of the Arts" officially added another work to its collection Wednesday with the dedication of a new mural in downtown Costa Mesa. Commissioned by Travel Costa Mesa, the city's tourism bureau, "Costa Mesa Bloom" is at the corner of 19th Street and Harbor Boulevard, in the heart of Triangle Square. Article in Daily Pilot.

UC Irvine officially launched a 10-year campaign that aims to raise $2 billion for the university-including construction of the Institute and Museum of California Art, which will house two donated collections, totaling about 4,500 pieces, with a Golden State theme or by California artists. City of Newport Beach Approves Contract of Next Phase of Sculpture Park - Opening Slated for May 2020
Phase IV works above now on display through 2021.

The 10 works pictured above, installed in June 2019, will be joined by 10 more works in May 2020, thanks to the Newport Beach City Council, which approved a contract with Arts Orange County this week for managing the call for artists, selection process and installation. The popular program was launched by the City Arts Commission, which continues to drive it forward as one of its flagship programs. More info here.
