Pandemic Fund for the Retention of Students
raises more than $50,000 in 48 hours

The Pandemic Fund for the Retention of Students, which began at the end of March, has already raised $54,445 from 59 gifts to aid students with tuition during this crisis. Some of the reasons donors have given for donating to the fund include:
  • I got my SCA education thanks to a scholarship and I'm ever grateful.
  • My parents sent me to SCA when they could not afford it. It was a struggle for them. I thank them every day for giving me that chance.
  • Gratitude for the impact SCA has had on my life--paying it forward.
  •  I appreciate the wonderful education that students who attend St Catharine Academy receive and want the current students to continue to have that opportunity.
Thank you to all who have contributed. Join to support the retention of SCA's current students.Your gift, no matter the amount, matters. Donate online here.

SCA community shares who they stay home for
The SCA community is sharing all the reasons why they are staying home to flatten the curve in a special video. We are grateful for all who are doing their part to help us combat COVID-19. We are keeping everyone in our thoughts and prayers through this very difficult time. The video has been featured in Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinotwiz's daily letter and the Norwood News.

Let us know who you stay home for!

Let us raise our voices in prayer

We would like to create a way for members of the SCA community to request and join in prayer during this challenging time. Please send your requests to Jessica Ruiz and we will create a page of intentions. Watch social media for prayer updates.

St. Catharine's is currently teaching with Distance Learning as New York is closed for all but essential personnel amid the Coronavirus pandemic. Here you can catch a glimpse of alumna and health teacher Nicole Sallustio '00.

Support restaurants who support SCA

During these difficult times, SCA would like to support our local businesses. These businesses have said YES in support of SCA's Best Bites of the Bronx & Westchester event, Now it is our time to support them! The restaurants are offering delivery, curbside pick up and special offers. Please visit their websites for details. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
