As promised, your church leadership has continued to consult with the St. George’s Medical Advisory Committee during the surge of cases from the delta variant. Based on these conversations, we are making the following change to our policy:
With local hospitals near, or at capacity, we are encouraging everyone, vaccinated or unvaccinated, to wear masks in the church building on Sundays. We anticipate this to be a temporary measure. We will be evaluating this policy weekly, with the hope of returning to our previous policy in a few weeks when hospitalization rates have decreased, ensuring availability of care for the seriously ill.
St. George’s has navigated the pandemic well, maintaining our sense of unity amid difficult and divisive issues. Because of this, St. George’s continues to flourish—experiencing tremendous momentum with the recent kickoff of our program year. We continue to be grateful for your support and for your commitment to our life together.
