Weekly COVID-19 Update
Hello COA community! We hope you have been able to enjoy the Easter and Passover holidays in the modified ways required these days. Seders shared via Zoom videoconferencing, live-streamed church services and egg hunts contained within socially distanced boundaries are just some of the creative ways we've all celebrated.
COA is here for caregivers who are essential workers
Are you a caregiver for an older adult, and also considered an essential worker during the COVID-19 pandemic? We may be able to help lighten your caregiving load with meal delivery, electronic monitoring systems, home care assistance and more. Call us at (513) 721-1025 and select Option 2 for information.

2020 Census safety
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Census is still happening. Unfortunately, scammers haven't been deterred by the pandemic. We've heard reports of people in our service area receiving questionable communications by those who claim to be with the Census Bureau. So we've created a census safety fact sheet to help sort out the scams from the legitimate communications from the bureau. Download it here .
Efforts to assist seniors unite community
During the last few weeks, our community has come together to collect, pack and deliver essential personal care and cleaning items to seniors and to deliver shelf-stable meal boxes as well. Many thanks to all who've assisted in these efforts. Check out our photo gallery to see many of these folks!
Don't forget to vote by mail
The majority of voting in Ohio's primary election will take place by mail, meaning you'll need to request a ballot from your county board of elections, complete it, and mail it to be postmarked by April 27, 2020. Be sure to make your vote count! Get details and FAQs from the Ohio Secretary of State.
How you can help
  • We've partnered with Frame USA's charity initiative, FilltheTruck.org, to accept donations for essential personal care items for seniors through the end of April. Donors may purchase items on the FilltheTruck.org website, or drop off items at designated locations/times. Details are here.
  • We are soliciting donations of medical gloves and masks to give to our home care providers who are running low or are out of these supplies. Email covid19volunteers@help4seniors.org if you have supplies to donate.
