only from 10:30am - 12:30pm at the following locations.
The Children's Hunger Project will also continue to provide weekend food packages at these BPS sites on Fridays

Mims Elementary, Cape View Elementary, Coquina Elementary, Oak Park Elementary, Mila Elementary, Atlantis Elementary, Saturn Elementary , Golfview Elementary, Harbor City Elementary, Sherwood Elementary, Discovery Elementary, Palm Bay Elementary, and Turner Elementary. We are also partnering this summer with United Way of Brevard's "Feed and Read" program.
Thanks to many volunteers, businesses, faith organizations and supporters, in the past we provided meals to over 2,300 children in elementary schools.
Since the pandemic we have provided
up to 6,000 weekend food packages
to children ages 18 and under
at BPS distribution sites weekly.
Serving so many of Brevard's children is a tremendous achievement, and we are continuing to help children in need locally. But
the strain on our our weekly food budget
means we have to ask for your support at this time for June and July.
We need to ensure our kids are fed. As a formr BPS teacher commented,
"Community helping community; we are all in this together! Families are struggling and unfortunately that means children suffer...this program is actively working to help every child have the nutrition to help them thrive to the best of their ability."
We began our pandemic plan determined to feed as many children as possible. That is still our goal. We will continue, with your help, providing meals to local children. Unlike organizations that have federal and state funding, we rely on the goodness of businesses, civic groups, faith-based organizations and individuals. We are truly blessed to live in such a giving and compassionate community.
All of our meals are prepped, packed and distributed by volunteers
. TCHP follows the guidelines of physical distancing, requiring gloves and face masks, temperature checks and ongoing deep cleaning.
We also partner with local churches who pack and deliver meals on behalf of TCHP.
We obtain food from our vendors while searching local markets to ensure our food packages remain consistent, however with rising food costs and pandemic supplies/cleaning our cost of $4 per meal has now risen to nearly $5 per meal.
