Volume 9, Issue #19 - May 9, 2019

In the name of Christ, we embrace all people to be nourished and empowered by the Holy Spirit to love and serve the world.

2:00-10:00 PM - Ascension Parish Hall

Mountain music in the afternoon –
square dancing starts around 7:00 p.m.
Come early and stay late, or just drop in!

Experience Cowan Creek Mountain Music School in Kentucky's capital city! This will be a full day of concerts, square dancing, jam sessions, cake walks, silent auction, food, and more; featuring faculty and students of the school both past and present. $6 admission fee - all proceeds go to benefit CCMMS, which takes place June 24-28 in Letcher County, KY.

No experience necessary! You can just sit, watch, and listen – but you'll probably want to move with the music. Or join the band. Beautiful room for dancing at Ascension, with good folks having a good time for a good cause (to raise money for the teaching assistants at the Cowan Creek Mountain Music School: young musicians coming up in the tradition who will be assisting the teachers, and are getting ready to step into their own teaching chores someday soon). You’ll find great music, good food, interesting people to look at and talk to, and a fun, wholesome square dance experience for the entire family. Dare to be square!
HELP NEEDED
to set up the room for music and dancing.
Meet in the Parish Hall at noon - free pizza for volunteers!

CALLING ALL GRADUATES!

Let us know who “our” church graduates are this year, whether from high school, college, or other significant program. We are compiling a list for recognition, and need your help to let us know if you or your family members are graduating in 2019. Please don't assume that “everyone already knows” - we will only list those who are specifically named for this purpose. Tell us the graduate’s name, school, program, degree, and if desired, plans for future school or work. Call Mona in the parish office at 502-223-0057, or email info@ascensionfrankfort.org
