Lenten Open Prayer Space
Lent is a time God calls us to examine our lives. Our theme will be the Wilderness. Will we go? What will we find there? The church sanctuary will be available between 6:30am and 8:00am Wednesday mornings beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 26. This will be a time for individual quiet reflection and contemplation. We are calling this, “Open Space.” Devotionals and bibles will be available. Enter in and see how God is present!

Wilderness
Lenten Devotionals
Pick up your copy of the
Wilderness, a daily devotional for Lent. It is filled with scripture readings, meditations, questions to ponder and reflective art work. Together let us take on the Lenten spirit practice of worship and devotions.

Lenten Services Loose Offering
Lenten services loose offering will be going towards Lutheran World Relief. Through our congregations donation, we are assembling and shipping personal care kits and reaching out to our neighbors in the most fragile corners of the world and who are in the most challenging circumstances. With our donations, we can reach the young mother, living in a refugee camp in Mali, who simply needs to clean her baby’s face or the elderly woman in Syria who wants to regain some dignity in attending to hygiene even though war has robbed her of everything. With your help, we can reach the father in Haiti who so desperately wants to begin anew following a disaster, starting with the simple act of bathing.

Prison Ministry
Sunday April 19th is the next opportunity for Christ the King to share in worship at Oshkosh Correctional. We will provide 2 worship services for the inmates at the prison. Background checks will have to be done a few weeks ahead. Please check your calendars to assure your availability.
The plan is to meet at church at 3:45pm. We will have a bite to eat at church while we finalize the plan on who will do what part of the services. We will carpool to the prison in Oshkosh and return to CtK by 9:00pm.
Those who have participated in this ministry in the past found it very rewarding. If you would like more information or to sign up, please contact Jeff Otto at 920-450-2359 or jeffotto2003@yahoo.com. The sign-up sheet is on the Welcome Desk.
