Hello Parents!
We are holding a special General Membership Meeting on June 10 at 7pm. The meeting will be very short. We have two pieces of business that require a membership vote so the meeting will probably only last 10 minutes. Please join us if you are a current Rockwell PTA member.

UPCOMING SPIRIT DAYS!!

June 11th: Summer Vacation Day! (Wear some fun summer clothes!)
Rockwell families: the PTA is looking for volunteers to help fill important roles on next year’s board. Whether you have a knack for writing, a passion for art, if you love to plan events, or if you just want to meet other parents who are dedicated to making Rockwell a great place to learn, we have a spot for YOU! We have set some big goals for next year, but we can’t meet those goals without helping hands from additional volunteers. As a board member, you’ll have fun with other dedicated parents at our monthly board meetings. Even if you’re not interested in joining the board, we have plenty of other volunteer opportunities for PTA projects and events. Please reach out to Gretchen Knapp at volunteering@normantockwellpta.org and we will match you with an opportunity that fits your availability and interests!
Rockwell Elementary 1981-2021
This fall marks the 40th anniversary of Norman Rockwell Elementary School! We are all very much hoping our community will be healthy enough to gather in person, so in that spirit, we're starting to pull together a "40th anniversary committee." We have already started asking for tshirt designs in the Beagle Bugle. In addition, the committee's role will be to gather pictures, stories, and memorabilia from the last 40 years of Rockwell and highlight them throughout the year. We are tentatively planning on kicking off the event at the Back To School Picnic in September. If you are interested in joining us, or have something to share, please email Gretchen Knapp at volunteering@normanrockwellpta.org"
Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination!  Congratulations to award recipients! We will miss those volunteers and staff members who are leaving us this year.

A quick instruction guide to parking lot etiquette to ensure lines of cars flow efficiently and safety remains top priority; please follow these traffic tips:
  • Buses only in the lane closest to the building.
  • Drop off/pick up from the upper lot -- right lane only.
  • The left lane is only for cars driving through or to park.
  • Drop off/pick up children from the far side of the mailbox only. If your car is behind the mailbox, do not ask student to enter/exit vehicle.
  • Parents are asked to stay in their vehicle.
  • Continuously Pull Forward- do not park or let your child out if the car in front of you is moving.
  • Reserved spaces are for staff.
  • Do not pickup/drop off students in the small side lot.
  • Rockwell is an idle-free zone. Turn off your engines as you wait in pick up lane.

These tips will ensure a safe arrival/departure and an expedited process.
