SPA New Faculty Highlight
We welcome Ms. Rhonda Holton to Scottdale Prep next year as a new 8th Grade Earth Science teacher.
She has taught college-level physics and astronomy for a total of 7 years at Amherst College, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, and, finally, Arizona State University, where she is currently finishing a Master's program in astrophysics.  She is excited to share her knowledge and passion for earth science, which has such an important role in both scientific research and in the lives of everyone living on this fertile rock floating amongst the cosmos. 
  • THANK YOU to SPA Staff for hosting the volunteer thank you breakfast!  You made the volunteers feel very appreciated.
  • THANK YOU to teacher appreciation chairs, Jen Murphy and Laurie Langford, and all the parents who supported teacher appreciation week!  The teachers enjoyed the special treats and THANK YOU too!
  • THANK YOU to Kathleen Anderson, Mr. Bustos, Ms. Hutchings, Mr. Maloney, Mr. Underdal, Mr. Zuggi and all the parent volunteers for helping at the 6th/7th luau spring celebration!  We couldn't have done it without them. They were amazing!

Graduation and Father's Day are just around the corner and gift cards purchased through SPA PSO save you from going store to store! For each gift card sold, SPA receives a percentage back at no additional cost to you!

Rotary Club - Jack's Basket Drive
Rotary Interact Club is running an unused swaddle blanket and children's board book drive from May 8th until May 23rd for Jack's Basket, a nonprofit organization that provides gift baskets for expectant parents of newborns with Down Syndrome. The labeled donation boxes will be located at the Front Office. Click here for more information. 
Parent Survey Due May 20th
As we move toward the close of the year, I would ask your assistance with the completion of a final survey.  Already, our leadership team has reviewed the results of the surveys you completed in March, and we are so appreciative of your thoughtful feedback that will drive some of our initiatives for next year. This survey will request that you reflect on your child's teachers individually, as we use this information to share the areas of strength and development in the year ahead.  
Thank you for your time and effort in sharing this input.  We will close the survey on May 20th. Use the link here to select our school, Scottsdale Prep, and then each individual teacher at your discretion.
EduKit School Supplies 2019-2020
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy offers the EduKit program as a convenient option for busy families to order your student's school supplies for the 2019/2020 year.
EduKits are custom made to include the supplies selected and approved by our school and shipping is included!

on or before July 27th!
Extended online ordering is available through EduKit's Last Chance program from June 20 - July 12. Last Chance orders are subject to an additional fee and will be delivered to your home shortly before school begins.  If you have any questions, please contact Veronica at [email protected]
REMINDER: Order kits for the grade your student(s) will be entering in the 2019/2020 school year.  Note to 6th grade parents when ordering Edukit please choose ONE required binder option.  Thank you!
Textbook Returns/Locker Inspections
SPA students will turn in their textbooks to each of their classes the week of finals. Any books that are missing or damaged will be documented and notification to parents will be made of the amount that will be deducted from your student's textbook deposit.  Please note students will  have a locker inspection to make sure all items have been removed and ready for summer cleaning.  Thank you!
Kaplan PSAT/SAT Prep Course
PSAT/SAT Prep Course available for rising Sophomores and Juniors.
Kaplan Test Prep is providing a great opportunity, at a reduced cost, for Scottsdale Prep families to consider this Fall. All classes will be held at Scottsdale Prep on Saturday mornings (with the exception of Monday, August 5th) from August 5th- September 28th. Click here for the flyer.

                     Yearbook Information
Yearbook can no longer be ordered online, but you can still order a yearbook by bringing in a check to the front office.  Please don't delay - the sooner, the better!   
  • The cost is $75. Please make the check payable to Scottsdale Preparatory Academy and put your child's name and grade on the comment line. 
  • Put the check in an envelope addressed to Ms. Stone. If you'd like a receipt, please write your email address on the envelope.
Fingerprinting Information  
Scottsdale Prep will hold a fingerprinting event after the start of the new school year in August. If you would like to secure a Finger Print Card Postalmax in Scottsdale is available to provide information on how to secure a Level 1 IVP Finger Print Card.  Please click here for more information.
