July 9, 2021
Dear Roslyn Families,
Given the current low rates of COVID-19 transmission, the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has issued new guidance which states that masks are now optional for students indoors and outdoors for all summer programs beginning Monday, July 12, 2021. This guidance applies to the 2021 summer session only. Masks will remain optional for the summer as long as the guidance allows.
Please note that masks are still required on school transportation. Be assured that the district will continue to provide proper ventilation in our schools and on our buses.
We are expecting further guidance regarding the 2021-2022 school year to be released soon and will communicate with you again after we receive that information. Until then, enjoy your summer!
Sincerely,
Allison Brown
Superintendent of Schools
