What a crazy world! I hope you are healthy and safe in this turbulent time. We've all been spending many hours both inside the house and inside our emotions. For me it's been a great time for reflection, creativity and dreaming about the future to come-whatever that may be!
I am very grateful to have a full-time "day job" to get me through financially, but many of my musician friends are not so fortunate. Please reach out to your favorite artists and support them by watching their virtual performances, tipping as well as tuning in, and consider not asking for a refund for postponed performances that will take place in the future.
Our summer concerts and tours are either cancelled or in limbo, and I'm not sure yet of the status of our Feel Good Music Concert Series,
but stay tuned!
I've been busy while in hibernation producing a new music video along with the amazing Katrina Dawn Miller of
Blackat Colorado
Video Production.
Many of us mid-lifers have grown kids back in the house again temporarily, but sooner or later the nest will be empty again. Now's the time to keep dreaming and planning for the bright future ahead!
We shot the video for Back Seat in one afternoon on Monday,
March
16, right before Colorado went on official lockdown. We used proper social distancing techniques and were able to get some amazing shots! It was the last day I got to hug my son Brendan who made a cameo appearance. Like many of you, I'm looking forward to being able to see all my family members once again. In the meantime, I hope the video brings you some joy!
PopWrapped
premiered the video: "
It shares a powerful message; one that reminds parents that they can once again look forward to exciting new opportunities and encourages them to embrace once again the creativity and passion that may have been left behind or not fully realized."
Album Reviews
"Lisa Bell comes across like a latter day Nicolette Larson or Linda Ronstadt, writing her own material with a soulful pop team..."
Two of my favorite songstresses I listened to and sang along with growing up-I'll take it!

"This is a considerably strong set. The vocals and songwriting work well throughout."
Articles and Interviews
Elephant Journal published an article I wrote called "How I Found My Best Life as an Empty Nester."
And along those same lines, I was very fortunate to be a guest on the great
Experience 50 Podcast with the incredible Mary Rogers.
It's probably the most revealing and intimate interview I've ever given about the album, embracing my 50s, and all the ups and downs of midlife.
Finally, for those of you with kiddos out there, who
are
completely bored with singing Happy Birthday twice during hand washing, here's a perfect tune that I recorded back in 2015!
