Welcome to CBRL’s November newsletter.
We hope that you and your loved ones continue to stay well during this uncertain time.
This month, we are proud to announce our new Networking Partnership Awards. These awards are offered towards the establishment or development of research partnerships in the humanities, social sciences, and related disciplines between the UK and Levant-based post-doctoral researchers at any career stage. Awards may be used to cover round tables, seminars, and/or initial exploratory research costs, including travel. Find out more information and apply here.
CBRL's 2020 annual general meeting (AGM) took place last week where members came together virtually and voted for new positions on our management committee. We warmly welcome our new chairman, Dr Robert Bewley, out-going Project Director of the Endangered Archaeology in the Middle East and North Africa (EAMENA). We also welcome a new treasurer, publications chair and two new trustees. At the AGM, members also heard about what CBRL have been up to over the last year and were updated on plans for 2021. Please consider becoming a member of CBRL to keep up to date and help shape some of these future plans.
We also congratulate Professor Bill Finlayson, former Director of CBRL, as the new Project Director of EAMENA. Bill has published extensively on the prehistory of the Levant and will be a great addition to the team.
We hope you enjoy reading our November news.
From all at CBRL.
