LET US WORSHIP TOGETHER
Trust that you are on Holy ground because the Lord, your God is present. We invite you to gather with loved ones and offer your heart and mind toward praising and seeking God. Through our worship today, may each of us grow in 'becoming and helping others become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ'.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
Romans 15:13
"THE POWER OF HOPE"
DR. JIM EVERETTE
Mary Magdalene rushed from the cemetery filled with fear and life-giving hope exclaiming, “I have seen the Lord!” Fear and Hope are siblings that share the same house. They can wrestle each other within our minds especially when we are continually focused on an unknown future. There are many voices clamoring for our attention. Which one screams loudest within you? Fear or Hope? Hope strangles fear into submission when we choose to allow ourselves to fully believe, “Greater is he who is in me, than he that overcame the world, and death!”
FACEBOOK LIVE AT 9 AM FBC WILMINGTON
We will praise God for the unwavering hope found in Jesus Christ. Not on Facebook? No problem, you can participate without a profile or login.
HOW WILL YOU RESPOND
RESPOND IN PRAYER
Living God, long ago, faithful women proclaimed the good news of Jesus' resurrection, and the world was changed forever. Teach us to keep faith with them, that our witness may be as bold, our hope unwavering, our love as deep, and our faith as true. Amen.
RESPOND IN GIVING
Trusting in God with all we have, we give to support the work of God's church because we believe in our mission to share God's love with our community and world in the name of Jesus. Give online or by mail. Giving allows us to keep being the church, even in the absence of our physical presence. (411 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28401)
RESPOND IN REFLECTION
  • Have you looked for Jesus this week?
  • Have you done or said something that could have caused someone else to see Jesus this week?
  • Are you using your time of sheltering for Sabbath? Resting; Praying; Reading God’s Word; Reflecting on the Holy Presence that is with us.
  • Are you focusing on the ripples of fear sent out by the effects of COVID-19 or the power of hope the emerges from a deepened relationship with God?
RESPOND IN FAITH
God desires to have a relationship with you! He has given us ways to know Him better through His Son, Jesus Christ. Knowing God and having faith in Jesus is a personal and individual decision for each person. Do you have questions about beginning a relationship with God? We would love to talk with you and help you begin or deepen your faith journey.
