From Our Head of School
Dear Prince Families:

Tomorrow marks the “unofficial end of summer“ with a well-deserved respite for Labor Day (excluding dedicated varsity student-athletes!). Looking forward, this Friday closes the first quarter interim grading period, and students are encouraged to turn in any late work for partial credit (1st quarter ends October 8). This Friday, seniors and juniors will have graduation announcements and class ring presentations by Jostens, respectively. Please mark your calendars for our honor societies’ induction ceremonies one week from tomorrow, and our three-day, two-night high school retreat is September 22-24 at the Woodlands Camp in Cleveland, Georgia.

The total number of students positive for COVID-19 when we departed school last Friday was six (four in lower school and two in middle school). We anticipate an increase after the Labor Day weekend with the more prolific Delta Variant (starting last May, the CDC began naming “variants of concern“ using Greek letters).

We are looking forward to a short but productive week; see you Tuesday!

With warm regards and in His service,
Seth Hathaway, Ed.S.
