Republic School District Families and Employees,

The district has been made aware of the following COVID19 cases:

  • Two Lyon students: One student was never on campus when contagious and the other was last on campus when contagious November 13.
  • One RMS student: The student was last on campus when contagious November 16.

At the direction of the Springfield-Greene County Health Department all students and employees who were exposed to the individuals who tested positive for COVID19 will be directed to self-isolate and quarantine. Those directly exposed will receive individual phone calls. Due to the increased number of positive cases and the number of administrators available across the district to make individual phone calls to those exposed, these calls are still in progress. Springfield-Greene County Health Department will be stepping in to assist the district with these calls through the utilization of a third party company called Maximus. Therefore, if your student is a close contact to one of the positive cases, you will be contacted by either a school administrator or a Maximus employee on behalf of the Springfield-Greene County Health Department. Maximus will be calling from a 314 area code phone number.

TAKE NOTE: Positives will not be reported daily during Thanksgiving Break. A full report from November 24-30 will be shared on November 30. Also, between now and Monday, November 30 at 8:00 a.m. In addition, to provide our administrators and nurses a reprieve during Thanksgiving Break, we ask that all positive COVID19 cases that surface from 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24 through 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 30 be reported by completing the appropriate form found at the following links:

STUDENT POSITIVES:

EMPLOYEE POSITIVES:

Please do not reach out to school administrators or nurses regarding positive COVID19 cases during this time. By completing the form you will have taken all of the actions necessary. If needed, an administrator or nurse will be in touch on Monday, November 30. All positive cases received will be contact traced upon returning from break.

Also, we want to take this opportunity to remind our patrons about the rules we are required to follow per the CDC and Springfield-Greene County Health Department in regards to isolation and quarantine situations using the graphic below. In addition, details and example scenarios can be found on the CDC website at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/quarantine.html.
Information in regards to the district's response to COVID19 (including a weekly case tracker) can be found at https://www.republicschools.org/healthupdates. Thank you for your support and flexibility as we navigate this time.
