Spring 2019 Newsletter
Hello from your friends at Generations! Everyone stepped away from their desks very briefly (did you miss us?) for a quick team photo☝️. We are so proud of Team G! Now we're right back to working hard to bring you the very best homecare technology. An update was posted to Generations today (Thursday, May 2nd). This update includes a whopping 45 tickets and a handful of powerful feature enhancements, read on for details.

Before we talk updates, let's talk trade shows. We'll be traveling to many trade shows throughout the year. First stop is our home state, The Michigan Homecare & Hospice Association annual conference. Later this summer we'll be exhibiting at the HCAOA Annual Leadership Conference in Tuscon. Will we see you there?

On the topic travel - Lisa Ferden, Vice President of Generations, is in North Carolina for the Women Presidents' Organization Annual Conference. Entrepreneurial women from around the country gather to learn from their shared experiences of running rapidly growing companies. "Generations has been experiencing such great momentum, it's a perfect time to share ideas and stories with other bold entrepreneurial women. It's great to step away for an event like this so that I can bring back fresh ideas and proven methods that will keep our service and our team strong."

And lastly, this is a call for app store reviews! Are you a current Generations user? We value your feedback and would love to hear from you. Please rate and review us on Google Play or in the Apple App Store.
Electronic Signature on Care Plans

This was a popular request. Electronic signature functionality is available for care plans in the Generations mobile app. Care plans can be electronically signed by multiple people and cannot be edited after signed.

Caregivers Can Request Shifts Via Mobile App

Caregivers can now request and accept shifts while in the app and office staff are notified in real-time.  This reduces the amount of time office staff will spend finding caregivers to cover shifts.
Mapping Enhancements

Enhanced mapping functionality allows agencies to plot  all clients on a map in order to learn where to concentrate hiring staff and for emergency preparedness. Mapping can also be used to create routes between referral sources for marketing staff.

Canceled Shift Documentation and Reports

Canceled shift documentation is the newest reporting capability in the already robust reporting functionality in Generations. This documentation allows providers to track lost revenue by noting why a shift was canceled, and what action was taken in response to that cancelation.

And More

Many more system enhancements are included in this update. If you're a current Generations user, check out the Release Notes via the in-system notification. Not a current Generations user? Schedule a call with a Product Specialist. They'll demonstrate how the powerful features and advantages in Generations will improve your day-to-day operations.

Healthcare Tech Outlook named Generations in their list of "Top 10 Home Healthcare Solution Providers." Check out the cover story and read how Team G will continue to develop technology solutions that improve homecare patient outcomes and safety.
