Academic/Athletic Day - Tomorrow!
Calling All Spartan Tribes! Get ready for a fun day of academic and athletic competition!
Parent volunteers are needed!
The start and end time of the school day follows the half day schedule. Please note, due to the exciting Spartan Tribe events planned for the day, it is difficult to locate and sign students out early. Advanced notice of your student's absence is appreciated.
Spartan families, please note the below guidelines for attire:
- All shirts should be modest, loose fitting and in good repair. NO midriffs may be shown. T-shirts are preferred; no tank tops or white t-shirts.
- Shorts should also be modest and no shorter than mid-thigh. Leggings WILL be allowed IF the hem of the shirt worn is at WRIST LENGTH.
- Attire should be free of logos and messages, with the following exceptions: sports team logos (e.g., Diamondbacks, Cardinals), and apparel brand names (e.g., Adidas, Abercrombie) are acceptable.
- Footwear should be athletic in nature: no sandals, open-toed, or platform shoes.
- Hats and sunscreen may be appropriate, if the students will be in the sun.
**extra points will be awarded to the tribe with the biggest showing of Spartan spirit wear!**
Let's Celebrate TC + 1
In celebration of reaching our Tax Credit goal this year, we will enjoy our Plus One Day over two days!
- Friday, May 3: Our carnival, music and games experience will happen this Friday as part of a Field Day rotation! Make sure to attend so you can enjoy all the fun!
- Monday, May 6: Our JEANS DAY will happen Monday, May 6th and all students and faculty are invited to celebrate our success with a dress down day! Nice Jeans and logo free shirts are acceptable attire. Please click here for detailed information on the dress code for the day.

SPA New Faculty Highlight
 For the 2019-2020 school year, Mr. Hiles will be teaching Senior Humane Letters and 8th grade Literature and Composition. In May, Mr. Hiles will be finishing a masters degree in Liberal Arts from St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland, where he predominately studied political philosophy and Russian literature and read many of the classic books that are studied in the Great Hearts curriculum. Before that, he received a Bachelor's degrees in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Elon University in North Carolina. Mr. Hiles is passionate about discussing books, playing tennis, and hiking, and is greatly looking forward to doing all of these with the Great Hearts community.

Kaplan PSAT/SAT Prep Course
PSAT/SAT Prep Course available for rising Sophomores and Juniors.
Kaplan Test Prep is providing a great opportunity, at a reduced cost, for Scottsdale Prep families to consider this Fall. All classes will be held at Scottsdale Prep on Saturday mornings (with the exception of Monday, August 5th) from August 5th- September 28th. Click here for the flyer.

Yearbook Information
Yearbook can no longer be ordered online, but you can still order a yearbook by bringing in a check to the front office. Please don't delay - the sooner, the better!
- The cost is $75. Please make the check payable to Scottsdale Preparatory Academy and put your child's name and grade on the comment line.
